Dejavoo Z11 Tri Comm Touch Screen Terminal

The Dejavoo Z11 Tri Comm Touch Screen Terminal might be just what your business has been waiting for. We take an in-depth look at it so you can see if it’s right for you.

There has never been more ways to pay than there are now.

That’s why it’s so important to make sure your point of sale (POS) terminal is up to par in order to have everything run smoothly when it comes time to accept payments.

With that in mind, we decided to review the latest offering from Dejavoo Systems: the Z11 Tri Comm Touch Screen countertop terminal.

What are some of its best features? What advantages does it offer? And how does it measure up in the real world? Let’s find out.

Z11 External Features

A quick view at the different features of the Dejavoo Z11 reveal this terminal pretty much does it all. The vast majority of small to medium sized businesses would be hard-pressed to find a need that isn’t satisfied by this compact countertop terminal.

Touch Screen Display

The first thing you’re likely to notice is the big 3.5” full color screen. Offering a sharp 320×480 pixel LCD display, it’s just as useful as it is inviting. That’s thanks to the touch screen abilities of the display, much more functionality is offered, such as signature capture.

Thus, the user is guided by the big, colorful screen at every step of the transaction that lets things move forward with ease. Not only that, but businesses can also further their branding by scrolling multiple images in idle mode.

Keypad

For those transactions where a keypad is needed (or preferred), the Z11 delivers there too. Things like debit payments are made even easier with the built-in 15 button keypad, along with a privacy shield to make sure customer’s secret PINs stay secret.

Printer

Even though things are unquestionably moving in a paperless direction, those that still need a paper receipt won’t be disappointed with the Z11. That’s because the integrated thermal printer can spin out a printer in just a second, thanks to its fast 4” per second printing speed.

Mag card/Chip card capabilities

Thanks to both the magstripe and chip readers of the Z11, any form of credit card payment can be accepted. The Triple Track Bi-Directional magnetic stripe reader makes things as easy and user friendly as possible. It also boasts an EMV 4.x L1 and L2 certification, meaning it’s ready to safely accept chip cards as well.

Size

The Z11 feels at home both on the countertop and in your hand, with a balanced 7.5” x 3” x 3” size (L x W x D). And at .77 lbs, it is easily carried around (although not all day).

Z11 Contactless payment acceptance

With the recent boom in contactless payments and mobile wallets, users will be relieved to see that contactless payments are accepted with the Dejavoo Z11.

This includes digital wallets, such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Wallet, Visa payWave, and MasterCard PayPass.

The Z11 is also NFC capable and ready to accept contactless credit cards.

Z11 wireless connectivity

This is where the newest version of the Dejavoo Z11 really separates itself from its predecessor.

While the previous version only offered dial and Ethernet connectivity, the latest version now boasts Wifi connection capabilities. This makes the newest iteration much more versatile, letting a business not only free itself of unsightly cords and cables, but also make the Z11 much more mobile.

This feature can be especially important for certain types of businesses, such as those of the service industry. It also features RS232 and USB ports for peripherals that can make accepting payments even more convenient.

Z11 Security

With all of the new payment technology packed into the newest version of the Z11, Dejavoo wisely didn’t cut corners on security.

It boasts PCI PTS v4 certification, along with the previously mentioned EMV 4.x L1 and L2 certification. (By the way, we have already explained PCI security standards in our blog to help you and your business stay secure.)

Dejavoo Customer Service

It certainly is worth noting the very high level of customer service that Dejavoo offers its clients. For example, other companies like Pax have their customer service overseas, with customer service reps that are very difficult to understand.

Dejavoo, however, has US based customer service. This may not seem like a big factor–until something goes wrong or you need a question answered. When those situations arise, you’ll be more than happy you have access to quick, clear, helpful solutions.

Summary

There’s really nothing lacking when it comes to the latest version of the Z11 Tri Comm Touch Screen Terminal from Dejavoo: it has both all of the software and hardware features almost any business might need to accept credit card payments. New payment options such as NFC, contactless payments, and other connectivity features fit right alongside all of the other options that have now become standard–not to mention the latest security features.

The only downside of going with the Dejavoo Z11 is the supply issues they are currently facing due to COVID-19. However, they are far from the only ones facing this issue.
